Philanthropy

Philanthropy can be an activity where families engage around a common cause or common values, and lead to discussions that not only use head but also heart.

By engaging in philanthropy, families can support societal or environmental issues that are close to their hearts.  Philanthropy can serve as capital to support pilot programmes or proving policy cases, for example, before these are scaled by private sector investment or government interventions.

KAIROS encourages families to think about philanthropy with a systemic lens, by understanding root causes and identifying what levers can be used for transformative change.

We support families, whether they're complete novices or established philanthropists, to understand their motivations and drivers. We map and seek to understand the system within which the chosen cause/problem evolves whilst seeking to identify its interconnectedness. From there, strategies will be put in place, looking to avoid silo work and fostering more collaboration between funders and organisations.
